Minnesota Industrial Battery was founded in 1982 by Air Force veteran Gene Slattum. Through Midwest work ethic, trust and family values the company grew and was acquired by son-in-law Kris Palestrini in 2016. With the same guiding values, a broader range of premium products and professional services, a wider territory throughout the Upper Midwest and a team dedicated to integrity and excellence, the company has grown into Midwest Motive.

Every year, we honor our courageous first-responders with an event called ‘The Griffin.’ Griffin Hillbo, a sergeant in the Minneapolis Police Department, passed away from ALS in 2020. Griffin’s family, Kris Palestrini and Timberwolf Fitness, organize this growing and meaningful event to raise funds and awareness for these incredible individuals who risk their lives helping keep our communities safe.
